2nd Annual “Take Back the Night” event Saturday evening, May 2 at Lincoln Land Community College and University of Illinois at Springfield
“Speak Out” begins at 7:30 p.m. at the outdoor Helen Hamilton Study Area at LLCC (Located behind Menard and Sangamon Halls, near the lake)
Keynote Speaker is Candi Clouse, Prevention Coordinator, Sojourn Shelter and Services
Following music by Tom Irwin, keynote and student speakers, participants march to UIS Quad at approximately 8:15 p.m.
“A Day and a Wake Up” band will play at the UIS Quad at 8:30 p.m., where there will also be “The Clothesline Project,” an information fair and refreshments.
Event presented by the Feminist Activist Coalition at LLCC and the Women’s Issues Caucus at UIS.
