1. Wise words from someone who has toiled in the fictional fields for a long time, and has been so successful. I have been Martha’s fan for at least twenty some years. The Levee Stories, the mysteries, her work evokes real feelings. She doesn’t pull any punches. Also her work has such grace. This is a really nice piece and I am grateful to have been mentioned in a positive way. It is so true you have to work your material, re-write, re-see it to find the way that it can be what you need it to be.

2. I don’t really need to further comment on what Mr. Osburn said above–but I will. Martha is tremendously talented lady. I was privileged to actually meet her only once, years ago, but I love her writing. Some of the interview wasn’t audible on my old speakers, but I know that whatever she said was worth listening to because she’s knowledgable as well as talented. If there was any justice, her books would be bestsellers.
