After careful consideration, the editors of The Lincoln Land Review have chosen this year’s winners for the “Best of” contest. Due to the large number of entries in Academic Nonfiction, two essays were chosen for this category.

Certificates and cash prizes will be awarded this Thursday, April 15, at 5 p.m., at the James Murray Art Gallery in Menard Hall. The winners are:

• Art/Graphic Design: Maggie Michael “Resistance”
• Photography: Justin Byerline “My Own Worst Enemy”
• Academic Nonfiction: Oliver Droefenu “Education: a Training or an Abuse”
• Academic Nonfiction: Ricki Castellanos “Blackberry Patch”
• Fiction: Sarah Skorczewski “Sto Lat”
• Poetry: Kate Hammock “Song of My Soul”
